The Liquor Aroma of TTL Hualien Distillery

Last week I posted about Qilaibi Lighthouse a three minutes away from it there is this place TTL Hualien Distillery Products Promotion Center. Here you can buy their liqour products.

Their entrance was painted with tribal color of Amis culture where in here in Hualien you can meet a lot of Ameizu or amis people, indigenous people of Taiwan. You can also see the painting dance movement of Amis in their different costume. Amis people are hard working much like they always drink wine especially when they are off from working.

Beside of the main entrance of the store there is this molded jar and they shape it like a person and it was too cute to take a picture with it.

Outside you can see displayed  molded jars where in we know  that in the past  many breweries used this to stock the wines until it will ripen.
There is also this sign board wherein you can see how they process craft beer from raw products to finished products.

I roamed into it's surrounding and there you are a two giant gold fish,  a gazeeboo and a fish pond .

Inside of the promotion center you can see a lot of liqour products of TTL. Containers are in different shape, colors and packages. But have this one which caught by my eyes. A bottle of liqour  inside of it was a dragon shape and guess how much it is? It cost 5000 Taiwan Dollar. LOL, expensive!

While exploring inside I saw a corner where they display the history of how they start the brewery. I can see some old typewriter, old telephone, old documents and a rice in a canister.

There is a wooden table and bench where you can take a rest while enjoying some ice cream and handmade cookies. Prices are varied depend on the ice cream you want to buy.

Sorry I did not buy wine. I just there to look what inside. hahaha... But for those who want liquor go there and buy.

Because it's the First Time | YUKO FESTIVAL in Hualien County, TW

" Small packages comes with a big thing. " Yeah, sometimes you don't have to be extravagant to experienced some things that are unforgettable.

HUALIEN YUKO FESTIVAL gives you an experience that is so memorable for those who went and interested about it. Earlier I posted about this event and now I will tell you what I experienced. So expect many photos of me.

Pretty, prettier, prettiest, who?sshhh....

This is us, I'm not belong to them because they are the ayi's (mandarin for aunt) who performed a traditional Japanese dance. I just make sure that I will a get a group picture of them and I got it. LOL
But the epic was I'm not prepared to wear those white white socks and my Yukata was a little bit short for me. The Yukata was a little bit insufficient to accommodate all the interested people who went for this event. And since you can wear it for 1 hour the people who comes first used the complete Yukata and the prettier one. I'm just lucky that I got the luckiest one..the red color and it makes it like Japanese - Chinese traditional costume with matching red umbrella.

Oh that kid, she's so cute...
I have no companion to take a picture of me but I'm thankful because the people are very kind to me. I asked them and they we're happily lend their help and likewise too. I took a picture of them especially if they are a group of family.

They are just so cute to not took a picture with them.

It's the entrance of the traditional house. As we can always see in many books or even in movies Japan houses usually used sliding doors and sometimes it has it's bamboo leafy print but this one is just plain. The division of the house used sliding also to get to another room just like this house,

Just another picture in front of the house.

The Traditional House
Front view

Event where there are dances and playing instruments entertainment.

Above products is where you can buy worth of 300 TWD in exchange of wearing the Yukata, the Traditional Japanese garments. I just bought 1 item worth 299 TWD but the owner it's okay and she considered it and wrote it on the back of it's store name which you will present as ticket to wear the Yukata. Not bad, right? You have already an item and you can have memorable experienced. And of course you will presented an ID when entering and I got lucky again that I bring my passport even if I forgot my Alien Residence ID. Just a lucky day and it's the first time for me.

Next year again...

This event introduces some of the handmade crafts from different experts. Spending 300 TWD  consumption from this booths you can experience wearing Japanese uniforms,Yukata & Kimono.

Pine Garden | Taiwan Top 100 Historic Charms

Pine Garden is just not just a beautiful garden but it is also a historical garden.

About PINE GARDEN
The "Pine Garden" was built between 1943 and 1944, used to be the office of the Naval Administration. The site neighboring "Broadcasting Bureau" built in May 1, 1944, current site of "Broadcasting Corporation of China" [BCC], Hualien Station and the "coastal Broadcasting Station"(Long Distance Telecommunications Bureau), were recognized as significant features on Meilun Mountains, along with the dense pine woods.

The Pine Garden was recreational retreat for ranking military officials during the Japanese rule. It was said that the site is where the Japanese air fighters were bestowed with Heavenly Emperor wine on the eve of their suicide missions. The Japanese suicidal air fighters were stationed beside South Airport or Peipu Airport, ready for their suicide assignments. South airport is close to Kuanghua Industrial Zone and Pulp Mill today.

In the later stages of WWII, the Japanese government took this site as a key military command center. This was because it was in the estuary of Meilun Creek, overlooking the entire Meilun Creek estuary, Hualien Harbor and the Pacific. While at the site, they could easily dominate the boats on the sea and airplanes landing and taking off at South Airport.

This site was taken over by the Republic of China government in the wake end of WWII, under the charge of the Headquarters of the Army in 1947. Subsequently, it w2as the vacation resort of the American Armed Forces until the United States quit. It was taken over the National Property Bureau in 1977 and was put under the management by the Vocational Advisory Commission for Retired Servicemen once considered selling the site for hotel construction but failed because of a protest from the local community people. On July 13, 2000, the Hualien County Government officially classified it a "Special Historic Attraction Zone". On december 20, 2001, it was officially recognized as one of "Taiwan Top 100 Historic Charms"

Hualien Summer Festival 2014 Free Concert and Live in MTV Taiwan

Yahooo... I'm just so so alive and enthusiastic because we experienced  more than 1 week free concert with Taiwan famous male and female artists only here in Hualien as they were celebrating their yearly summer festival.

On the first day of this said concert, we just listened a few songs and we got home early. But it was also a good experienced we got a new friend and he was a reporter for Taiwan newspaper. He took a picture of us and he featured us on his article saying that there are also friendly Filipino who joined their Festival here Hualien. (Proud to be a Filipino)

On the second day Yen- J is a big hit for us,haha...you know, we are also a girl (me and my friend Rizzel). He was good in playing instrument  especially the piano and guitar, and well every girls easily falls for the man who loves playing this kind of instruments. And of course he was good looking guy especially in person.

There are many artists who came and sing their hit songs but we observed that Amei was the most influential to them as we do also. When she went to the stage and started to sing, the people are getting high and more energetic until her last song. Well, she's really a good singer. She's rocking the stage... She's rockin' so good...
A-Mei (Chinese: 阿妹; pinyin: Ā Mèi) (stylized as "a MEI" since 2014), also known by her Chinese name Zhang Hui-mei (traditional Chinese: 張惠妹; simplified Chinese: 张惠妹; pinyin: Zhāng Huìmèi), is an aboriginal Taiwanese pop singer and occasional songwriter. She is also known by her birth name Kulilay Amit (traditional Chinese: 古歷來·阿蜜特; simplified Chinese: 古历来·阿蜜特). She was born in the rugged mountains of eastern Taiwan (mainly at Taitung) and is the third youngest of nine siblings. A-mei made her debut in the world of music in 1996, achieving rapid commercial success. She has been called a diva of the Mandarin pop music scene and the "Pride of Taiwan".[citation needed] She has won numerous music awards and is extremely popular within Mandarin-speaking world. And she's one of the judges in the famous singing contest VOICE China.

Here are the food stall where you can buy  if your hungry and there are also games if you like to have more fun with your friends. It's just besides the concert area.

Together with my friend Rizzel, we almost got the perfect attendance for this free concert,,anyway it's free, right?LOL!!! We enjoyed and having so much fun because we do a lot things that we have same thing in common.

We met Malwinka a foreign exchange student here in Hualien and she was from Poland.

Me and my friend Rizzel.
Anyway thanks to our employers for being so kind to us because they let us watched the concert. And supposedly I want to post this while the concert is still on going but i don't have much time. Sorry about that guys.... maybe next time i will try my best so that you will be informed and can watch it live.
