Summer Day Tour at Qilaibi Lighthouse

Hello! Hope everyone is doing good and great. It's really long time that I've been busy working on my job and forgot to say anything in my blog. But hope you guys always tune in and read my not so good write ups.LOL

Just the other day I'm talking to my friend that I want to eat ice cream in Qixingtan but were not in the mood going out there. But for no reason I just feel going out somewhere on the next day. Yeah, I'm in the mood so I grab the motor key, sun glass and summer hat for sun protection. I search some places near me and got this place, the Qilaibi Lighthouse/Chilaibi Lighthouse. Ten Minutes away from home. And it is very near to Qixing Scenic View or most people say as Qixangtan/Chisingtan.

About
Qilaibi Lighthouse was located in Hualien County, Taiwan. The Lighthouse stand in Northern part of Hualien Port. It was built between the Central Mountain range and the Pacific Ocean. The tower is in pentagonal prism with balcony and lantern. It is said that the original lighthouse was built by the Japanese but it was seriously damaged during  WWII. The newly lighthouse was just rebuilt in the same exact lighthouse base to help those nearby Hualien Harbor. The lighthouse is not open to the public.

Nearby is the Hualien Environmental Park and it seems that this park was not really maintain because of it's tall grasses but when you go uphill  you can see the lighthouse from there. I suggest go there sunrise and sunset. It has the romantic feel looking the sky and the horizon of the Pacific Ocean. I just spent about 10 minutes or 15 minutes because it was freaking hot that day.

I enjoyed the dazzling deep blue color of the ocean and the green landscape surrounded to the lighthouse.

with the yellow tiny sunflower look a like.
Nice place for those who love the view of the ocean. On the other side was already the Qixingtan Scenic View. If you want to stay overnight there are hotels and B & B nearby of the Qilaibi Lighthouse.

Japanese Colony, Japanese Legacy, Japanese Era,...Who don't remember this in our history subject when we were high school? Well. I just clearly recall that it was so hard to memorized the influential names especially the years when Japan invades Philippines during World War II.

Here in Taiwan I learned that Japan was also a big part of their history. In Hualien County, eastern part of Taiwan where I am currently residing there was one of the 100 top historical place located. This historical place is The PINE GARDEN where recreational retreat for ranking military officials during the Japanese Ruling.

This event introduces some of the handmade crafts from different experts. Spending 300 TWD  consumption from this booths you can experience wearing Japanese uniforms,Yukata & Kimono.

Yahooo... I'm just so so alive and enthusiastic because we experienced  more than 1 week free concert with Taiwan famous male and female artists only here in Hualien as they were celebrating their yearly summer festival.

On the first day of this said concert, we just listened a few songs and we got home early. But it was also a good experienced we got a new friend and he was a reporter for Taiwan newspaper. He took a picture of us and he featured us on his article saying that there are also friendly Filipino who joined their Festival here Hualien. (Proud to be a Filipino)

On the second day Yen- J is a big hit for us,haha...you know, we are also a girl (me and my friend Rizzel). He was good in playing instrument  especially the piano and guitar, and well every girls easily falls for the man who loves playing this kind of instruments. And of course he was good looking guy especially in person.

There are many artists who came and sing their hit songs but we observed that Amei was the most influential to them as we do also. When she went to the stage and started to sing, the people are getting high and more energetic until her last song. Well, she's really a good singer. She's rocking the stage... She's rockin' so good...
A-Mei (Chinese: 阿妹; pinyin: Ā Mèi) (stylized as "a MEI" since 2014), also known by her Chinese name Zhang Hui-mei (traditional Chinese: 張惠妹; simplified Chinese: 张惠妹; pinyin: Zhāng Huìmèi), is an aboriginal Taiwanese pop singer and occasional songwriter. She is also known by her birth name Kulilay Amit (traditional Chinese: 古歷來·阿蜜特; simplified Chinese: 古历来·阿蜜特). She was born in the rugged mountains of eastern Taiwan (mainly at Taitung) and is the third youngest of nine siblings. A-mei made her debut in the world of music in 1996, achieving rapid commercial success. She has been called a diva of the Mandarin pop music scene and the "Pride of Taiwan".[citation needed] She has won numerous music awards and is extremely popular within Mandarin-speaking world. And she's one of the judges in the famous singing contest VOICE China.

Here are the food stall where you can buy  if your hungry and there are also games if you like to have more fun with your friends. It's just besides the concert area.

Together with my friend Rizzel, we almost got the perfect attendance for this free concert,,anyway it's free, right?LOL!!! We enjoyed and having so much fun because we do a lot things that we have same thing in common.

We met Malwinka a foreign exchange student here in Hualien and she was from Poland.

Me and my friend Rizzel.
Anyway thanks to our employers for being so kind to us because they let us watched the concert. And supposedly I want to post this while the concert is still on going but i don't have much time. Sorry about that guys.... maybe next time i will try my best so that you will be informed and can watch it live.

Amazingly Stone Art Display in Hualien County Stone Sculpture Museum

Wo de pengyou ni hao? "How are you my friend?" Here was another strolling story of mine in Hualien County, Taiwan.

Hualien County, Taiwan was known for it's stone industrial. And as I know it was the home of the dancing stone because everywhere in this county you can see huge sculptured stones especially in park areas. And in this county you can see many factories of stones or marbles that's why it was known for it's stone industrial.

Check this out...

Hualien County Stone Sculpture Museum was the only museum that was dedicated for stone art carving. All sculpture that was being displayed here was the best and work collections from International Stone Sculpture Festival.

There are several areas in this museum which you can visit including:

  • Collection area
  • First planned exhibition area
  • Modern stone sculpturing area
  • Traditional stone sculpturing area
  • Video/audio area
Beside from displaying the stone archaeological treasures, there are also gallery for the national and international stone carving artisan.

It was really a great pieces of art. I was amazed by this stone sculpture.

Picture below was another two stone sculpture gazebo. It was great because you can try the stone bench chair.

And the best of all was this stallion art. Who ever made this, it was amazingly superb for him. It was one of bloody effort i think. I wonder if how many days, months or even a year for making this. Just a big WOW for this....

Just beside of the main building you can see this Hualien map and you can find also other beautiful spots here in Hualien County.

There are two main building here, the left wing is the City Library and right wing is the Hualien County Stone Sculptural Museum. The combination of the two building was giving the power of books and arts, right guys?

Who ever wants to visit this place, here are some information.

Set Your Mine Free | Taroko National Park | Part 1: Gateway

Way back November last year  together with my sister,we decided to have a road trip. We drove a motor going there for a reason that we want to feel our nature tripping while enjoying the ride. It is one hour away from Hualien City where we are staying for our work and it's worthwhile the long one hour to reach the gateway.

Taroko National Park is one of the eight national parks of Taiwan. And the park span Taichung City, Nantou County, and Hualien County.

Sights includes:
  • Tunnel of Nine Turns
  • Eternal Spring Shrine
  • Swallow Grotto
  • Jinheng Park
  • The Bridge of the Kind Mother
  • Tiansiang
  • Jhuelu Precipice
  • Lioufang Bridge
  • Hill of Yu the Great
  • Bulouwan
TARAKO  means "significant and beautiful". Let's see how this Taroko was means.

Starting point to discover Taroko...
The river with sand formations and some rocks.(river view from the entrance)

Me at the entrance...with tour bus background..lol... That was the tour bus of people who came from mainland China.

Beside me are the Chinese people who came from mainland China ^_^ . It's my turn to take a picture to that big stone.hehehe.

Another river view from the entrance. The river was connected to the ocean.

This is just the starting point...as we go deep, there are more significant and more beautiful to see.
