I really participated in that event sharing your stories in travelling Korea to inspire readers. But actually I did not yet experience travelling this place. I just honestly wrote there that I did not yet experience going Korea but I really really want to. I just shared a getaway of my one closest friend here in Taiwan and I said that I want to experience all of what she experienced while getting around in Korea.

Here was the participation gift from KTO and from this I get more motivation on spreading about Korea. It was a  red card holder with black necklace. It used to hold cards back to back. And it was stamped with their tourism slogan Korea Be Inspired.

Korea Be Inspired card holder necklace
Korea Be Inspired... I really get inspired because KTO appreciated the interest of their readers. And thanks a lot for noticing me and especially for their effort sending this gift.

And finally.. thanks a lot for your appreciation ^^

The National Folk Museum of Korea

National Folk Museum of Korea (국립민속박물관 : Gungnip Minsok Bangmulgwan)  is a national museum of South Korea located in the grounds in the Gyeongbokgung Palace in Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It uses replicas of historical objects that depicts the historical backgrounds or the traditional life of Korean people.

About the History
This museum was established on November 8, 1945 by the U.S government and it was opened on April 25, 1946 at the City of Administration Memorial Hall. When the this museum merged in Natioanal Museum of Korea, it has a collection of 4,555 artifacts which was moved to the latter of Mt. Namsan sites.

In 1975, the museum was moved to the grounds of Gyeongbukgong Palace, moved along with it into the Modern Art Museum Building. In 1993 it opened in its present site, which was the former site of the National Museum of Korea. The building's design is based on various historical buildings around South Korea.

The museum has three main exhibition halls, with over 98,000 artifacts:
History of Korean People features materials of everyday life in Korea from prehistoric times to the end of the Joseon Dynasty in 1910;
Korean Way of Life, which illustrates Korean villagers in ancient times; and
Life Cycle of the Koreans, which depicts the deep roots of Confucianism in Korean culture and how this ideology gave rise to most of the culture's customs.
The museum also features open-air exhibits, such as replicas of spirit posts where villagers used to pray, stone piles for worship, grinding mills, rice storage shelters and pits for kimchi pots.
South Korea has it's own unique traditional architectures that makes us mind blowing. The designs of the temples and their old palaces are great. It was like you where going to experience the Joseon era which I've seen in many Korean Dramas.
Here are some pictures by nephew who shared this with me.

Showing their traditional life with their traditional costumes.

It was good to know their rich culture. Let's  feel the spirit of their traditional life. South Korea was one of the best for temple stays.

How to get there:

My Firsts Korean Drama

Do you still remember what is your first Korean drama you've watched? Me, I still remember everything because I always went back home as early as I can after our class dismissal just to watched this drama. It was my first time watching a Korean drama but it was subbed into Filipino Language. It was aired in our country, Philippines.

Guess what Korean Drama is it?

I love this Drama

It was a romance, comedy, drama television series that was aired in KBS2 from January to March 2009. And the same year it was aired in our country and became a trending topic especially young people because of Gu Jun-pyo, the main leading actor of this drama. Some of the young people in our country copy the hair style of this actors.

The  Main Cast :
Geum Jan-di is the headstrong daughter of a dry cleaner. While on a delivery run to Shinhwa High School, she saves a bullied student from committing suicide. She is offered a scholarship to attend the prestigious school, and ends up getting on the bad side of Goo Jun-pyo.
Goo Jun-pyo is the leader of F4 and heir to Shinhwa Group, one of the most powerful business groups in South Korea. As leader of the most popular and powerful clique in Shinhwa High, he torments Geum Jan-di after she stands up to his bullying ways, but ends up falling for her instead. His family is one of the most rich and elite in the country.
Yoon Ji-hoo is a member of F4 and the grandson of a former president of Korea. His musical talent catches Geum Jan-di's attention and she begins to develop feelings for him. He has a driving phobia after being involved in a car accident that killed his parents and left him the only survivor. He is initially in love with Min Seo-hyun, but eventually falls for Geum Jan-di and acts as her protector.
So Yi-jung is F4's Casanova. He is a skilled potter, and his family owns the country's biggest art museum. He eventually changes his playboy ways when he realizes that he is in love with Chu Ga-eul. Although he does not develop romantic feelings for Jan-di, he does eventually become very fond of her and becomes good friends with her, and at times is seen to be rather protective of her.
Song Woo-bin is known as F4's Don Juan. His family runs a large successful construction company, and has important connections to an underground organization later admitted by woo-bin to be the mafia. Like Yi-jung, he eventually befriends Jan-di and cares for her, and is also protective of her at times.
Geum Jan-di's best friend who works with her at the porridge shop. She falls for So Yi-jung after he helps her get over her cheating ex-boyfriend. He eventually reciprocates those feelings.

The Story :
Hardworking Geum Jan-di (Ku Hye-sun) attends the exclusive Shinhwa High School by a scholarship she gets because of an incident. She finds her shallow, privileged classmates unbearable, especially the notorious F4. Rich, handsome, and arrogant, Goo Jun-pyo (Lee Min-ho), Yoon Ji-hoo (Kim Hyun-joong), So Yi-jung (Kim Bum), and Song Woo-bin (Kim Joon) are the kings of the school and no one, not even the teachers, dare challenge them. No one, that is, except Jan-di. Angry at their rudeness, Jan-di tells off F4 leader Jun-pyo, bringing a world of trouble upon herself.

The proud and persistent Jun-pyo falls hard for feisty Jan-di, but she shares a connection with the quiet, sensitive Ji-hoo.There comes the love triangle. One day Jun-pyo declares to the school that Jan-di is his girlfriend even though Jan-di was not in love with him. He starts caring for Jan-di. But Jan-di has already fallen for Ji-hoo. Jan-di has to step back from it after knowing about Min Seo-hyun, Ji-hoo's girlfriend, is a famous model. By the encouragment of Jan-di, Ji-hoo goes abroad with Min seo-hyun. In the absence of ji-hoo, Jan-di gets close to Jun-pyo.

Jandi realizes that she really loves Jun-pyo, not Ji-hoo. But there comes many bad incidents and problems that leads to breakups and reunites between Jan-di and Jun-pyo. Also Ji-hoo and his girlfriend break up and he realizes that he loves Jan-di very much. But he has to give it up for his bestfriend Jun-pyo who loves Jan-di more than anything else in the world, forgetting his richness and fame. Jun-pyo's mother,a cruel woman, tries her best to ruin her sons relationship. But finally the couple survives everything.

Back then I fell in love with Korean dramas and it makes me excite every time there was a Korean Dramas aired by Philippine network channels. After Boys Over Flowers here comes the series of 내게 거짓말을 해봐 Lie To Me then followed by 시크릿 가든 Secret Garden. But because I watched this dramas that was subbed in Filipino Language I also tried watching them in Korean Language but has English subtitle. I already bought a computer so I can watch many Korean dramas every time I want.

My record breaker watching Korean dramas: Five (5) consecutive months I already watched 35 Korean Dramas...Daebak!!

Just enjoy life....
